Weekly Updates

3/28/24- Gas Main locating has been complete and the work should begin the week of 4/1/24.

4/4/24- Crews have begun the gas main work with boring beginning on Tuesday 4/9/24

4/9/24- Crews are working on installing the gas line main in the terrace on the north side of Main St.

5/21/24- Gas crews are wrapping up their work this week and should have everyone switched over to the new service. SEWER LINNING WILL BEGIN 5/22 and take about 2 weeks. Please be mindful of water usage. Crews will communicate needs with individual property owners.

Project Timeline

  • Preconstruction Gas Main replacement will begin in April and take about 45 days.
  • Preconstruction Meeting with Koplin and sub contractors took place March 14th at 10:30am
  • Project construction will begin June 3rd
  • Lighting Upgrades will take place during substantial construction phase
  • Construction is tentatively going to wrap up mid September

Project FAQ

The project is scheduled to start June 3rd and go until mid September.

Stantec Engineering will have a representative on site daily through out the project. Additionally, DPW Director Nate Wendelborn will be on site regularly or at Village Hall.

Yes! Businesses will be open and accessible for pedestrians. Vehicular access to Main Street will be prohibited except for deliveries and local traffic.

Parking is available in the municipal lots located at Village Hall and the Community Center. Additional parking will be the side streets adjacent to most businesses.

Construction hours will be from 7am-7pm Monday -Friday. There may be the need to do overnight work on the sewer lines near the end of the project.

Construction equipment and supplies will be staged on Municipal Dr. or in the areas of the project being worked on.

The goal of this project is to create a safer, more walkable downtown and to repair the failing infrastructure in the road right of way.

A temporary bank of mailboxes will be established on the west end of the Village Hall Parking lot for those residents that will not have access to their mailbox.
