On September 3rd, Waste Management (WM) was under contract with the Village of Newburg to provide trash and recycling pick-up services for all residents.  Unfortunately, Waste Management experienced a staffing problem and was unable to complete all routes.  WM staff that filled in may have run routes incorrectly or incompletely.  This issue was recognized on Friday, 9/3 and WM was contacted by the village.  WM stated at that time the remaining bins would be emptied over the next couple of days due to the staffing issue.  We regret that as of Tuesday, 9/7, the pickups had not yet been completed.  The Village has been in repeated contact with WM to enforce our contract and good service for village residents.

WM has confirmed this morning, Wednesday 9/8, that all pickups will be completed by the end of the day today.  Please continue to leave trash and recycling bins at the curb until emptied.  In the event that your waste bin remains full after today, please contact village hall to let us know your name and address for follow-up.  The regular trash collection schedule should resume at the end of this week.  We again apologize for the inconvenience caused and thank you for understanding.
