  1. Discussion and possible action on granting a sign permit to Kelli Lax – Creative Sign Company, 5050 Lawrence Dr. DePere, WI 54115, for a sign at the State Bank of Newburg, 300 Congress Dr. for an illuminated sign with an area of 88.38 square feet, replacing and updating the currently placed sign.

Tanya Fonseca, the village planner with Graef; and representatives of the State Bank of Newburg each attended remotely via Zoom video conferencing. Tanya explained to the commission that the ordinances say that no sign should be illuminated, but that the ordinance was vague and she could make a reasoned argument that it didn’t apply to this situation, mainly because a rotating intermittent sign is different than simply an illuminated sign. Commissioners briefly discussed the sign, reviewed colorized drawings and plans including placement and measurement information and generally stated they saw no reason to deny the improvement.

Motion by Sackett to grant a sign permit to Creative Sign Company, representing the State Bank of Newburg, for the sign as presented and described; seconded by Karnitz.
Motion prevailed by a voice vote of 5-0.

Motion by Sackett to adjourn, seconded by Karnitz.
